The SPCA of the Triad began the Strut-A-Mutt program in 2007 with the idea that every dog, even orphaned dogs, need a walk in the park. Each Sunday morning at 9:00am, volunteers show up at Military Park in Greensboro to take the SPCA’s adoptable dogs and sometimes even cats in strollers for a two mile walk.
The walk is great exercise for human and animal as well as just dog gone good fun. Another benefit of this program is that the dogs and cats have an opportunity to meet persons who may be able to provide their forever home.
Once you see the wagging tails and happy faces you too will be addicted.
To participate with the Strut-A-Mutt group, email the SPCA or call (336) 375-3222.
These dogs are waiting for you to take them for a romp in the park.
How can you resist?
