Maria and her family moved to Oak Ridge, NC in 2004, where they lived for eight years. Maria graduated from Guilford College with a double major in Business Management and Elementary Education. She and her family moved to Overland Park, KS, in 2012. They spent five years there but are happy to be back in Greensboro. Maria loves taking care of her family, including her adopted dogs, Mollie and Willow. Shortly after World War II, U.S. Navy veteran Brice Gardner opened the doors at Battleground Tire at 3112 Battleground Avenue. He worked with the community through the early 2000s before turning the business over to his son, Alex Gardner.
Alex has taken the business and upgraded all the equipment to keep up with the technological advances in the automotive industry.
